WFWA Open House

Our local Public television station, WFWA TV Channel 39, had an open house today.  Above is the actual Command Center for four channels that were being televised.  I had majored in Radio, Television and Motion Pictures in college, so it was interesting to see how much things have changed.  Everything in computerized now instead of so much of a manual frenzy with videotapes levers to switch.

Below is a tech room where they had videotapes on the left which they sometimes use clips from and on the other side of Marv is an old school reel to reel videotape machine.

This Command Room is used for in-house television shows that are filmed in the next room

Here is the studio for live of taped segments made locally.  It is a larger room where you can move the overhead lights and sets set up in different areas for different shows.
