This is the Main Street Bridge on West Main street and photo taken at the end of Union Street where we used to live in the late 1980’s.
When we went on the “Haunted Fort Wayne Tour” this past Fall our tour guide advised that is was this bridge (and not the Wells Street Bridge that some sites claim) that the story of the “Lady In White” is specter has been seen.
The story dates back over 100 years ago to 1880’s where the “Lady in White” appeared but would disappear, with the most noted being when police officers tried to capture her in a blanket, but when they did, nothing was there.
Rumors now say something else haunts the bridge underneath; people who are homeless.
